Bali car hire comes in two forms: self-drive rental and car hire with a driver. For most visitors, hiring a car with a driver is the better choice — from USD 38 per day for a 10-hour private car, fuel, mileage and parking are included, and you never have to deal with the island’s left-hand traffic, narrow village roads or parking yourself.

What does Bali car hire with a driver cost?

As of 2026, a full day of 10 hours in a standard car (Toyota Avanza or Daihatsu Xenia, up to 4 passengers with luggage) costs USD 38 — and that price already covers the driver, fuel, unlimited mileage and parking. Extra hours are +10% per hour.

Need more space or comfort? The premium fleet is USD 50 for a Toyota Innova Reborn, USD 80 for a Toyota Hiace and USD 150 for a Toyota Alphard. Half days of 5 hours start at USD 20.

Car hire with driver vs self-drive
