Bali Full Day Tour: Cost, Itinerary and What’s Included

A Bali full day tour is a private, 10-hour sightseeing day with your own car and an English-speaking driver — you choose the stops, the pace and the restaurants, while fuel, mileage and parking are already included, starting from USD 38 for the whole car. Here is exactly how it works, what it costs, and how to build an itinerary that never feels rushed.

What is a Bali full day tour?

A Bali full day tour is a private sightseeing day of roughly 10 hours (usually 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) in an air-conditioned car with your own English-speaking driver. Unlike group bus tours, the itinerary is built around you: you pick the stops, you decide how long to stay, and you can change the plan during the day at no cost.

It is the most popular way to explore the island — Bali received about 6.3 million international visitors in 2024, its highest figure on record (source: BPS-Statistics of Bali Province).

What is included in the price?

Not included: attraction entrance tickets, meals and anything you personally buy. There is no deposit — you pay the driver in cash at the end of the day.

  • A private, air-conditioned car — standard cars seat up to 4 passengers with luggage.
  • A friendly English-speaking driver who also acts as your guide.
  • Fuel and unlimited mileage.
  • Parking and in-city tolls.
  • A fully flexible itinerary, changed on the day for free.

How much does a Bali full day tour cost?

As of 2026, a full day of 10 hours in a standard car (Toyota Avanza or Daihatsu Xenia, up to 4 passengers) costs USD 38, with extra hours at +10% per hour. If you want more space, the premium fleet costs USD 50 for a Toyota Innova Reborn, USD 80 for a Toyota Hiace and USD 150 for a Toyota Alphard.

Travelling with a midday flight arrival? Half-day tours of 5 hours start at USD 20.

Sample 10-hour itinerary you can copy

  • 08:00 — Hotel pickup (Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta, Sanur, Ubud).
  • 09:30 — Tegalalang rice terraces, before the tour buses.
  • 11:30 — Tirta Empul water temple for the Melukat ritual.
  • 13:00 — Lunch overlooking the Ayung valley.
  • 15:00 — Tegenungan waterfall swim or the jungle swing.
  • 17:00 — Coffee plantation tasting on the way back.
  • 18:00 — Drop-off at your hotel.

Full day or half day: which should you book?

Book a full day if your plan includes places more than one hour from your hotel — Ubud, Kintamani, Bedugul, the east coast or Nusa Penida. Book a half day (5 hours, from USD 20) if you only want one area, for example Uluwatu temple plus the Kecak fire dance at sunset.

When should you start the tour?

Between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Beating the traffic saves more than an hour on any route that crosses Denpasar, and the famous stops — rice terraces, water temples, waterfalls — are cooler and quieter in the morning.
